Where it all began
In 1969 we started our business, called ‘Travel Boutique’, selling our fashion products at house parties. After three successful years of trading we had the opportunity to take possession of a retail property on Chanterlands Avenue, and Samantha’s Boutique was created, opening on Valentine’s Day 1972. This was a very exciting time for us, with our range of clothes being characterised by several distinct fashion trends, and included top labels from the likes of Mary Quant, Ossie Clark, Mary Farrin, and Philippe Salvert to name a few.
Within months of opening, Samantha’s had established itself as a popular fashion boutique, placing great emphasis on providing a very personal service to all of it’s clients…something that we still pride ourselves on to this day.
Our first year of trading also saw us expand our fashion range by branching out into the world of wedding dresses, starting with a wonderful French collection called ‘Colombine’. From this very first wedding collection we have continued to move with the times and keep our designs up-to-date by always having the latest trends in stock. We complement our range with bridesmaids dresses, shoes, and other accessories to make sure we can provide everything you need for your special day. We also stock a wide range of classic wedding outfits for the mother of the bride & groom, with matching hats and fascinators.
Samantha’s has a reputation of always being one step ahead with the latest fashion trends and we have new designs in store every week. So, for all of your unique and inspiring fashion requirements, from prom dresses to the most wonderfully styled wedding gowns, Samantha’s is sure to have the perfect outfit just for you.
